This means it takes far longer and costs us far more to raise our pigs so yes our pigs cost more than a market pig BUT, they are far superior product.

  Our family focuses on raising the highest quality domestic livestock possible and we pride ourselves on offering some of the finest free range livestock you will find anywhere. No Soy or Corn in our feed and 100% Grass Fed Beef.
M&B Farview Farm is a family farm and all of our animals are considered a part of the family.

All of our animals are treated with the utmost care and are hand raised from the day they are born or come to our farm.

 

Dairy Cows ~ Grass Fed Beef ~ Miniature Cows ~ Cross Bred Cows
Miniature Hereford beef cattle and miniature Jersey dairy cows are just a few of the specialty breeds we raise.

Cross Bred Cows and Cattle are common on our farm. We find we get better milk production, better tasting beef and hardier livestock from cross breeding.

We also offer bull semen for sale, available from our fine stock of certified cattle.

We breed high quality cross bred goats, a special hardier Cross Bred Dairy Goat with increased milk production.

These are typically crosses between Oberhasli dairy goats and Nubian dairy goats.

Cross Bred Sheep & Lambs We have a wonderful flock of sheep and lambs from several breeds.

Our sheep are free to roam large areas of pasture, have shelter whenever they want to get out of the weather and always have plenty of food and fresh water.

We sell pigs for butchering, roasters and castrated male piglets only. We do not sell breeder pigs. We raise at least 4 distinct breeds of unregistered purebred and crossbred Heritage pigs including Berkshire, Ossabaw, Tamworth pigs and Old Spot pigs.

Our ducks and chickens move freely about our farm and get plenty of sunshine and fresh air. This makes them healthier than commercial eggs.

Questions to ask a vendor/ producers of a product
1. Did you grow this product.? If not who did? Where are they located? What are their practices?
2. What was used to grow the product? Chemicals, feed for animals etc..
3. If you have a special diet or food allergies you must ask what is being used in the product? MSG, Nitrites, soy etc..
My answers to #1, 2 and 3
We are chemical, soy and corn free. We grow our own animals. We use homeopathic practices for animal health and illness. We are a grass/ hay based operation( this is their) primary diet. Our beef, goat and sheep are 100% grassfed. Dairy cows and goats are 98% grassfed and 2% grains.
Pigs are fed milk, whey, grains, veggies scraps
We don’t use any MSG or nitrites, we only have two products that are not gluten free Beer bratwurst and scrapple. All other products are gluten free. 
Just because you are buying at a farmers Market doesn’t mean that they are raising the product, buyer BEWARE.
